The process

How JOGA Select Works

From application to arrival.

A Select Team tour starts with an individual player, not an existing team. Explore, apply, get reviewed, get accepted, secure your place and travel — here is exactly what happens between applying and playing your first match in Europe.

Five steps

Apply, review, accept, meet your team, travel.

  1. Apply

Choose your Select Team and tell us about the player.

  2. Review

Sports Ventures reviews the application and roster availability.

  3. Accept

Approved players receive the next steps for securing their place.

  4. Meet Your Team

Connect with teammates and prepare for the experience.

  5. Travel

Train, compete and experience Europe together.

Submitting an application does not automatically guarantee a place on a JOGA Select Team.

What parents receive

Clear information at every stage.

Families are kept informed as the player moves from application through to departure.

  • Confirmation of review outcome

Sports Ventures contacts the family once the application has been reviewed.

  • Squad and tour details

Confirmation of the destination, tour period and Select Team squad the player has joined.

  • Pre-tour preparation information

Tour details and preparation information are sent to families before departure.

  • A point of contact

Families can reach Sports Ventures directly with questions at any stage. See Player Safety & Parent Support for contact details.

Is Select right for your player?

Who Select is for, and who it isn't.

Select is for players who

  • Want to travel and play in Europe without needing to bring an existing club team.
  • Are comfortable meeting new teammates and training as part of a newly formed squad.
  • Fit the age group and squad category for one of the confirmed tour periods.

Select may not be the right fit if

  • A family needs a guaranteed place before application review is complete.
  • A club or team wants to travel together as an existing squad rather than joining a Select Team. Check out Team Experiences if you are interested in bringing your whole team.
